Dedication

This book is dedicated to the one who gives us everything, Mother Nature. It is only through Her grace that we are able to experience the ineffable pleasure of being.

Message

In Dancing with the Infinite, Pranav Chaudhry has beautifully explored the depths of truth. Life is a journey from Finite to Infinite, and the poems capture many dimensions of this journey with messages that ought to be practiced by every human being. My blessings to Pranav for writing this outstanding collection, may the grace of Lord Shiv Shiva be on all those that read these poems.

Acknowledgments

Not just for this book, but for all that I am, I must express my gratitude toward my Guru, my mother, father and beautiful sister, and the many wonderful teachers I have been blessed to have. Their unwavering love and the opportunities they give me to better myself keep me constantly open to life. With their guidance and support I can lose myself in dancing with the infinite.

An invitation to Be

I close my eyes,

cross my legs,

straighten up,

and plug in.

Press play,

it’s time to let the music in.

Listen, listen, listen.

Who is listening?

Who is it that hears through ears?

Slowly,

I take my time,

because the time belongs to me.

I open my eyes,

lift my head up

and soak in

my surroundings.

See, see, see.

Who is seeing?

Who is looking out from eyes?

Do I have an answer

to the timeless question

that I ask myself

silently

under every breath,

asleep or wide awake.

Who am I?

Who am I?

Who am I?

The Ego shouts back

with thoughts.

“I am me, myself and I,”

but truth cannot be tricked.

The locks of perception

are ready to be picked.

My body is a gift,

on loan from Mother Nature.

I borrow Her atoms,

Her Earth, Her air, Her water, Her fire and Her

space.

What I once thought was me,

is only a protective case.

Behind the cover of creation

breathes the essence of the art.

There is a part of me

that never suffers,

though there may be pain.

There is a part of me

that isn’t bothered

by an endless need to gain.

There is a part of me,

much deeper, where

nothingness remains.

I stop pretending

to be burdened by

effort

and I throw it all away.

Let the magnets of silence

guide me into Grace,

where I find truth

waiting for me in

laughter.

I am not the doer of action.

I am not the mover of life.

I am a passenger on this journey

just enjoying the ride.

Shiva

That-Which-Is-Not

was here,

because

That-Which-Is-Not

is always there

dancing in the depths

of everywhere.

Isn’t that

a strange affair,

for That-Which-Is-Not

to be anywhere.

Peanuts

Does the plant grow

when I shout out

my many instructions:

“Come out young sapling

it’s time to get up. I’ve

got to teach you how to see

the light and drink the water.”

No, no.

The plant doesn’t need some

textbook or manual,

How to Live and Be Good.

The plant just needs

a bit of love,

and the blessing

of good fortune.

Luck belongs to you

the creator.

The plant just needs

the warmth of soil,

rain for refreshment,

and a Sun for food

to eat what’s good.

We don’t need to tell

anything what to do

or how to live.

Give a seed some ground

and space to let the air in.

There is a flower waiting to bloom

in every being.

Will we destroy potential

with maps and rules?

Or will we let life

Be, Breathe, and Blossom

the way it should.

Homecoming

Always

be

conscious, I remind myself,

diving deeper into

emptiness.

Forget. Forgetting. Forgotten all pretense. I

grow-up into my Self. I don’t take time to ask

how, when and why.

I just dance the cosmic dance. In

joy, let go of all my plans to

keep up. Life flies by the present, so I

light my candle from both ends. Save no

more for later.

NOW is

Life.

Please wake up and

quell your

restless

sensibilities.

Thinking thinking thinking, timing. Time is

up.
