We were five children. My mother taught us Bridge, the game of my life. As I was the youngest I was really stupid.
Only my father – professor of law – was even worse. We player together, cheating and laughing.
Years later in a circle of friends I was asked, if I know how to play Bridge.
Of course, I did. My mother gave me the latest conventions,
I red English bridgebooks, meanwhile I became bridge-teacher oft the Deutschen Bridgeverband.
My redeaming feature was to be patient with those who were slow in understanding.
With the birth of my grand-daughter I thought about Bridge for children – and here it is!
