Han hecho sus progresos las medidas de los gobiernos para reducir la corrupción, como, por ejemplo, el tratado de Naciones Unidas y las leyes nacionales que declaran ilegal el soborno de un Gobierno extranjero. Los recientes esfuerzos realizados por la Iglesia católica también son esperanzadores. No obstante, la lacra de la corrupción sigue presente en todas las naciones del mundo.

Daniel K. Finn es titular de la cátedra Clemens de Economía y es catedrático de Teología en St. Johns University, Collegeville, Minnesota. Fue presidente de la Association for Social Economics, de la Society of Christian Ethics y de la Catholic Theological Society of America. Obtuvo el máster y el doctorado en la Universidad de Chicago.
